1. Scope and Acceptance
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Clean Alter iOS application (the "App") provided by the developer of Clean Alter ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Your license to use the App is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple Standard EULA"). These Terms supplement those agreements. If these Terms conflict with mandatory Apple terms, the applicable Apple terms control.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally permitted to use the App and capable of agreeing to these Terms under the laws that apply to you. If you use the App on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.
3. License
Subject to these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, solely for personal and lawful purposes.
4. App Features
Clean Alter helps you rediscover, browse, organize, favorite, annotate, share, review, and prepare photos and videos for deletion through your iOS Photos library. Features may depend on your device, iOS version, Photos permissions, network availability, iCloud settings, and media availability.
5. Photo Library Permission
You decide whether to grant the App full or limited access to your Photos library. Some features may be unavailable or incomplete without the required permission. You may change or revoke access in iOS Settings at any time.
6. Your Content and Responsibilities
You retain all rights you hold in your photos, videos, and notes. We do not claim ownership of your content.
You are responsible for your media, locally stored notes, favorites, sharing destinations, organization choices, device security, and backups. You may use the App only with content and Photos libraries that you are authorized to access.
7. Favorites, Notes, and Sharing
Changes to favorites are applied through Apple's Photos framework. Video notes are stored locally by the App. Sharing uses the iOS share sheet and the destination you select. You are responsible for reviewing what you share and for complying with the terms and privacy practices of the selected destination.
8. Deletion and Recovery
Clean Alter is designed to mark media first and request deletion only after you review pending items and approve Apple's system confirmation. You are solely responsible for verifying every item before confirming deletion.
After confirmation, deletion, synchronization, retention, and recovery are controlled by Apple Photos, iCloud Photos, your device settings, available backups, and any Recently Deleted functionality. We cannot guarantee that deleted media can be recovered.
9. Apple and Third-Party Services
The App relies on Apple frameworks and services for Photos permissions, media access, iCloud-backed downloads, sharing, favorites, and deletion. Apple and any third-party sharing destination operate under their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for services that we do not operate or control.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You may not misuse the App, interfere with its operation, bypass security or access controls, reverse engineer the App except where applicable law expressly permits it, use the App unlawfully, or use it to infringe the rights of another person.
11. Intellectual Property
The App, including its software, interface, design, branding, and related materials, is owned by or licensed to the developer of Clean Alter and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App or its intellectual property to you.
12. Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the App when reasonably necessary. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available or compatible with every device, iOS version, or Photos library configuration.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every media organization or cleanup workflow. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including decisions to favorite, annotate, share, or delete media. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
15. Termination
These Terms remain effective while you use the App. Your right to use the App ends if you materially violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your devices.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when the App or applicable requirements change. The revised Terms will be published with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the App after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by applicable law.
17. General Terms
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms do not limit rights available to you under mandatory consumer protection laws.
